Domestic Violence Prevention 3.1
Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems, Sea Warrior Program – Freeware – iOSaus 51 Bewertungen
An official mobile application produced by MyNavy HR IT Solutions, the Navy's Domestic Violence Prevention – All Hands (DVP-AH) app has been revised for 2022. Serving as a training and resource tool, it provides convenient access to information and instructions on preventing domestic violence and child abuse. The app's training fulfills the newly implemented Domestic Violence Prevention General Military Training (GMT), which was made mandatory for all personnel starting from 1 October 2022.
The 2022 upgrade offers new materials, videos, and user-friendly interfaces, enhancing the overall training experience. With comprehensive content on topics such as healthy relationships, intimate partner abuse, reporting options, and the mandatory reporting of child abuse to the Family Advocacy Program, the DVP-AH app achieves the following learning objectives:
- Define domestic abuse, intimate partner abuse, and child abuse
- Identify different types of violence
- Recognize factors associated with becoming an abuser
- Understand the cycle of domestic violence
- Familiarize oneself with tactics utilized by domestic violence abusers
- Comprehend how domestic violence affects children
- Learn about reporting options for domestic violence and intimate partner abuse
- Understand the requirements for reporting any suspected child abuse
- Discover support services and helpful resources
In addition to its educational content, the DVP-AH app also provides links to important resources related to domestic violence prevention. Moreover, it features an "Emergency" contacts section that offers information on essential services like the National Domestic Violence Hotline and the Military Crisis Line.
The DVP-AH app consolidates information from various sources. Periodic checks will be conducted to ensure accuracy, as some of the reference links may become outdated. As needed, the app will be updated and released through periodic DVP-AH version updates.
Upon completion of the training, users can conveniently document their achievement in their Electronic Training Jacket (ETJ) using their DODID number. This feature aligns with the Navy's commitment to providing Sailors with anytime/anywhere access to information.
Please note that to successfully submit a course completion using the DVP-AH app, users must set up an external email account on their mobile device. For iOS/iPhone users, it is essential to use the native email app.
